Good afternoon and welcome to my first blog post with Nine Photography. A few years ago I started a blog close to my heart entitled Let’s Move to The Country. I meant it and I still do, but life is full and there are different priorities when you are sharing a life with another person. We have created a beautiful life in Des Moines; nestling into a home built in 1921 on High St. We have 2 cats, 2 dogs and 6 chickens, a bountiful garden and access to all the wonderful things that our city has to offer; like beautiful photography locations and local restaurants.
7 years ago when Megan and I started Nine we were living on a cloud, keeping fingers crossed that we would stay busy enough to maintain the name and business. Things have changed, as life does, and Megan stepped down in February as a part of Nine. I miss her and I keep a hold of hope that one day we will be reunited as business partners. In her absence I have been trying my best to fill her creative shoes and give my clients the best of me. As always I am human and somethings (like posting on Facebook and updating my website) have fallen to the wayside. I am dedicated to making things better and managing time, marketing, and turn around times. I will continue to look forward to the future, but missing my friend, her advise and encouragement. I owe an enthusiastic thank you to all the people that have stood by my side during this adventure; you laid these bricks and continue to build me up!
